John Iceland is a Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Demography at Penn State University. His research and teaching interests include poverty, inequality, and polarization in the United States. He is the author of dozens of articles and several books, including Why We Disagree about Inequality: Social Justice vs. Social Order and Poverty in America (now in its 3rd edition).
