Deepa Das Acevedo, J.D., Ph.D., is a legal anthropologist and Associate Professor at Emory Law School. Her book, The War on Tenure (Cambridge University Press, September 2025), provides an accessible, behind-the-scenes look inside the labor dynamics of tenure-stream academia. Beyond her research on faculty tenure as an employment protection, Deepa also writes on courts and constitutional law in India. Since December, 2024, she has been the Editor-in-Chief of PoLAR: Political and Legal Anthropology ReviewShe is a member of Heterodox Academy.
